CORONAVIRUS POLICY UPDATES & PRECAUTIONS
A NOTE FROM DEIBERT PHOTOGRAPHY
Below we have a lot of information to share and it updates often. We are keeping information here at this link as new information is released to the public and updating it weekly- so please check back often. We believe honesty and transparency is important.
We truly hope everyone stays healthy and we are here to navigate this with you all,
Ben + Ashley
MASK WEARING / SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Masks reduce the spread of coronavirus.
If laws and regulations allow you to have your session or wedding, Deibert Photography and the team will wear a mask for the duration of your wedding day coverage.
Plan for safety. Your plans will have to change to accommodate distance and safety between your guests. Guest count may need to be reduced. Simple tasks will take more time to complete, so things may take longer. More tables may need to be added to accommodate space. Indoor events may need to happen outdoors under a tent. We suggest you talk with your venue manager and other vendors to find ways to have a safe event!
If we do not feel well or have a temperature we will find a replacement photographer to represent us on your wedding day. We have a wide network of photographers who we are close with and trust.
During these times, will not photograph the dance floor as we typically did in the past (we wish we could). If your guests feel comfortable hitting the dance floor, we will photograph from a distance but not get into the thick of things.
DATE POSTPONEMENT
If federal, state, and/or county regulations expressly prohibit your wedding from taking place all together, our team is committed to working with you to reschedule your wedding or session, pending availability. Currently, we have postponed 40+ weddings. Please keep us updated with any potential dates so we can do our best to accommodate availability. We would love to keep your lead photographer connected to your event. As backup, we may need to fill in for each other depending on availability or find another photographer to represent Deibert Photography.
RESCHEDULING FEE
Ultimately, we want to be as flexible and accommodating for a new date for you as possible and understand that moving a wedding date is no easy feat on your part. However, by rescheduling your date to a future date, we turn away many new couples and suffer a large loss of income and we hope to bear the burden of those costs mutually.
As we all know, this pandemic is taking quite a toll on the wedding and event industry, which is mostly composed of small businesses like ours. Deibert Photography is made up of Ben, Ashley, and a handful of subcontractors whose livelihood and sole source of income relies on the busy wedding season months. We also rely on this busy season to pay for taxes, studio space, new technology and the best camera gear. When announcements and regulations began being put in place we worked swiftly with many couples to postpone to later in 2020/2021. However, with vaccination roll-out and ever-changing rules, our couples were able to successfully hold 2021 weddings and therefor long-term postponements into 2022 are now subject to a fee, regardless of your date of cancellation. We will not be able to sustain and survive as a business in the long-term with these protocols.
For any and all COVID reschedules, to reserve a new date in 2022, an additional flat fee will be required of $1,000. This is a non-refundable deposit and will guarantee your date is held.
If you are reserving a date in 2023, a new package under the current offering will need to be booked, and former monies paid toward your old package will be applied to the new.
Please note, your original date must have fallen under a current government mandate/COVID-19 restriction to be considered a COVID reschedule.
TO officially reserve your new wedding date, half of your remaining balance of your current invoice must be paid at the signing of the new contract in addition to the reshedule fee
CANCELLATION + UNAVAILABILITY
If you do choose to cancel your wedding or reserve a new date in which Deibert Photography unavailable, any retainers used to book your date(s) is non-refundable. However, we’d prefer you use those monies towards a session, so if that is the case, we will mutually agree upon how and when the monies can be applied.
