Rustic Summer Wedding at White Chimneys
A White Chimneys wedding will always hold a special place in our hearts. Namely for the fact that it is very place where we were married. But now let’s talk about how giddy, loving and amazing Melinda and Michael were.
Much like our own wedding day, this one started out rainy. But by the time we made our way to White Chimneys from downtown Lancaster, the rain had cleared but the sun had not shown it’s face. First look was still perfect tho, as this laid back couple couldn’t wait to see each other. We made our way to all the different spots the venue has to offer, even saying hello to a friendly cow. As the ceremony time got closer, the sun peeked it’s head out to give us a beautiful backdrop under the European columns. The short, but very sweet ceremony, was very personal to Melinda and Mike. After, the couple gather with all their friends and family for cocktails and conversation.
A lovely folk duo serenaded the couple for their first dance “Harvest Moon” as all their guest watched them in the lovely restored tobacco barn. The rest of the evening was casual and enjoyable, with some Harvey’s BBQ making an appearance and eventually, some guests turning up the dance floor to some self-selected beats. Eventually we made out way out towards the pasture for a stunning night portrait under the stars. All in all it was a wonderful day and we were honored to spend it with Melinda and Mike at White Chimneys. Congrats!
