Stylish, Candlelit Wedding at The Lucy by Cescaphe

The Lucy weddings are definitely a new fave of ours. And this wedding was no exception. When planning a winter wedding, you’re always taking a gamble on the weather. But, aside from it being a tad chilly here and there, this day was beautiful and sunny. The perfect backdrop for the wedding of Christina and Ricky at The Lucy by Cescaphe.

It was clear when we met Christina and Ricky that they are not only very much in love, but a ton of fun and loved by many. Ricky proposed to Christina during a Flyers game, a spot where they first locked eyes with each years earlier. As time wore on, the couple had two adorable boys, Westin and Bennett- who naturally, stole the show most of wedding day. But so did Christina. Her elegant, glamorous and effortless look blew us away, and fit in perfectly with the style of the The Lucy.

City Hall proved to be a great backdrop for first look and portraits, as many of our couples enjoy having the grand architecture as their backdrop. But we love it here, it provides a range of backdrops without moving too far. We also snapped some images at the Lucy, as the stunning staircase makes a great backdrop for both couple and family photos.

The wedding ceremony and reception was held at The Lucy, Cescaphe’s newest venue, in Center City. Christina blew us all away when we entered the room. The candlelit ceremony was incredibly personal, with a lot of laughs and tears. Not to mention, an epic first kiss.

If you’re a sucker for elegant details, then The Lucy will not diasppoint. The chevron floors, gold modern chandeliers, a mix of round and high top tables, and allll the candles provide an aura of romance that is to die for. While guests enjoy cocktail hour in the atrium above, they can gaze at The Lucy ballroom. Christina and Ricky did not skimp on the details, it was a party complete with fireworks, flower bombs, champagne shots and of course, Broad Street at night. Christina and Ricky’s boys made a grand entrance in made-for-kids car, while the band serenaded the grand room well into the night.
