Fall-Themed Wedding at The Gables at Chadds Ford

It was our first time photographing a Gable at Chadds Ford wedding, and hopefully not our last. Get out your tissue or fancy handkerchief and join in the tears that surrounded Caitlyn and Joey. Caitlyn started her laid back day by getting ready at the venue’s bridal suite, while Joey and his guys hung in a nearby hotel. When we say the weather was a perfect fall day, we mean it.

We met on the Gable at Chadds Ford grounds for first look and portraits, all the greenery, florals, fall colors and of course, pumpkins, gave us a lot to work with. Caitlyn looks so stunning and their emotions were so authentic. The venue’s black cat even followed us around for a few photos!

As the ceremony kicked off, tears and smiles were in abundance. A violinist serenaded Caitlyn and her father down the aisle. As the officiant discussed the union, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house— and even more so when Caitlyn and Joey read their vows. But once the I do’s were done, it was time to party!

Cocktail hour on the lawn concluded with start of a very epic party. We fully understood why opted to tack on an extra hour of reception time. The couple’s choreographed first dance was so much fun, and the speeches brought out the tissues yet again. After the couple cut the cake, the cigar bar and smores bars opened, while the DJ kept kept the dance floor packed.
